Digital Camera You need to create good pictures of the items you have for sale. For
collections you’ll need a good digital camera with at least a five megapixel
resolution. These can be purchased immediately from the
for under $100, and the price is going down all the time. There’s no need to buy a brand new $600+ fourteen megapixel camera, but if that’s what you have, that’s great too! Maybe by the time you read this the price will have dropped further. If you are likely to be taking multiple pictures at the same time, make sure your camera is equipped with a memory card, or chip, with at least a 1GB memory. This is unlikely to come with your camera, but you can find these at Wal-Mart or good camera stores for around $12.00 or so. We use an Kodak EasyShare ZD8612 IS Digital Camera with a 1GB memory card (shown above). This camera makes transferring pictures to your computer a breeze, and has automatic compensation for poor lighting - very useful for pictures of old album pages. There's usually a great range of new and used digital cameras (real bargains to be had here) on offer in eBay's Your stamp pictures and scans will need to be adjusted in size and quality before showing them on your eBay auctions, so the next item to find out about is a Picture Editor program.
