Sell Stamps - Trading Assistant Administration

There is nothing quite like a routine in business for keeping things organized, and avoiding forgetting to do essential tasks. We don’t mean a mind numbing timetable with every job detailed, and timed to the second. What we are recommending is that certain things are done on certain days. Our own routine is based around auctions ending on a Sunday evening, as almost all of our auctions do.

On Mondays we make out eBay Trading Assistant auction statements and write checks to our eBay Trading Assistant clients for all auctions now three weeks old. This assumes all payments have arrived and are cleared, and all return periods have expired. At this three week point they almost always have completed, and it’s now safe to make payments.

Also on this day of the week we check cash flow by looking at our business account balance at the bank, adding on all pending PayPal payments that haven’t yet appeared, also any recently sent check deposits that haven’t yet appeared, and any checks currently held ready to be banked. On the minus side we note all outstanding checks written that have not yet been deducted from the balance, the total of items sold for which we have not yet sent payment to clients, any other outstanding short term business liabilities (phone bill, internet costs etc.), plus any outstanding eBay fees due to be paid in the future. This will give an approximate figure for the cash flow situation at the time.

On Tuesdays we schedule re-listings of unsold items where appropriate, before utilizing the rest of the week as required for new listings (always scheduled to end on a Sunday evening). The days of the week chosen are not important. Having a set day to complete important tasks is the important point, and we encourage you to do this.

Next we deal with eBay Trading Assistant client care - a must to retain repeat business from your eBay Trading Assistant clients!
