Harbour Stamps can sell your stamps on eBay for you!

usa mint stamp blockWe are an experienced eBay registered Trading Assistant with a high 3000+ 100% positive feedback rating,  and we will be pleased to sell your stamps for you on eBay under our name.

Over the years we have listed thousands of auctions on eBay, selling stamps and collections to bidders all over the world from our base in Minnesota, U.S.A. Over half of what we sell is exported from the United States to Europe, Japan, Australia, in fact - almost everywhere. Only eBay presents you with this opportunity to effectively and quickly sell your stamps worldwide, and so get the very best price for them.

Ebay has no buyer's premium (often up to 15% in traditional auctions, making a total auction house commission of up to 30%), so bidders can bid higher, knowing the amount they bid is the amount they pay. This makes our commission rates very competitive. Our eBay bidders pay quickly, 95% within seven days, which means payment gets to you far more quickly than with traditional auctions.

Fees

Our fee is 20% of the final selling price of each individual lot.

There is a $4.95 per lot listing fee - a lot can be a single good stamp up to a large collection, the fee remains the same.

Charges are negotiable for individual lots with over $2000.00 sales value. There is no other charge for the first auction of any individual lot. This fee includes all eBay listing fees, final value fees, scans, digital photography, describing, listing, handling, packaging, currency exchange and credit card fees. Shipping to the buyer is paid by the buyer.

Our minimum starting or reserve price for any lot is $49.50, there is no maximum starting price, although lots need to have a realistic chance of selling for the starting price chosen. Lots can consist of single or multiple stamps, or full collections. Unsold items can be re-listed as often as you want, in this instance a re-listing fee of $4.95 is made for each re-listing in addition to the above commission.

Here's how it works:-

Step One:-

Send an e-mail to ebayhelp@harbourstamps.com, giving a general idea of what you want to sell. We accept most philatelic items, be it a good single stamp or a valued collection. We'll get back to you quickly by e-mail, or phone if you prefer.

Step Two:-

Once agreed, mail your stamps to us. Please use insured mail for the full value of yourpenny black mint stamp stamps, and protect them well! Once they arrive, we'll carefully evaluate your material, and get back to you to agree starting prices on the eBay auction.

Step Three:-

Using our specialist stamp scanning equipment, we'll make high quality images of your stamps and prepare accurate, attractive descriptions. We carefully scan your collection, producing good quality pictures for prospective bidders. If you are selling higher value individual stamps we produce large, clear images to present them in the best way possible. Multiple pictures are produced for collections or larger lots. We then start the auction - usually for seven days.

Bidding opens at once, and you'll be able to check on progress anytime, using the links and/or auction numbers we send you.

Step Four :-

Your stamps are sold! We liaise with the buyer, send invoices, and collect the amount due. We accept payment from the buyer by credit card online through PayPal, also personal checks in US Dollars, money orders, and cash in most major currencies of the world.

Payment is usually made three to four weeks after the auction ends to allow for mailing times, check clearance and the eBay allowed return period. Returns almost never happen, because we describe lots very accurately.

Once payment is received (never before), we mail the buyer's stamps to them, professionally packed, and using insured mail whenever appropriate. Checks from buyers unknown to us or eBay must clear first. The buyer has seven days from receiving the stamps to return them for refund. This offer creates a feeling of security, and means many more and higher bids. It is what you and I would want if we were bidding!

In the unlikely event your stamps are not sold we can re-list for a $4.95 fee, or return them to you, charging only the shipping charges that we incur.

In the last twelve months we've sold collections from $200.00 to $20,000.00 for collectors on eBay - we can do the same for you!
